CT Scanning
CT Scanning
CT imaging studies are examinations that use a computer linked to radiology equipment to make a series of detailed pictures of areas inside the body. Our practice has multiple CT scanner machines across our practice sites with the latest hardware and software technology. CT pictures are taken from different angles as you pass through the center of a large machine, three-dimensional views of bones, tissues and organs are created. A dye/contrast agent may be injected into a vein (or swallowed) to help the tissues and organs show up more clearly. A CT scan is used to help diagnose disease, create treatment plans or to find out how well medical/surgical/radiation treatments are working for a patient.
